We have a number of services and activities available to compliment your stay at Magnific Rock.
With so many miles of beach stretching on either side of Magnific Rock, horse riding seems like the most appropriate way of viewing the coastline and seeing Popoyo’s landscape from a different perspective. For a romantic, honeymoon gallop or a fun paced stride with a group of friends, horse riding along Popoyo’s beaches is a definite highlight, and a must do whilst visiting the Nicaraguan Coast.
These naturally heated pools of water are a great way to relax those worn out yoga and surf muscles! Frequented by tourists and locals alike, the Las Salinas Hot Springs provide a rejuvenating and therapeutic experience whilst giving you a glimpse into life in the village.
Select from our collection of massage treatments, designed to reduce tension, improve flexibility, soothe surfing and yogi muscles, and simply to relax and unwind. Our talented team of masseuses will have you feeling your best in no time. In-room and couples massages are also available.
Popoyo is a very active fishing zone with a huge range of fish ready for a fight from the keen angler. You can expect to catch a range of game fish including Snapper, Swordfish, Mackeral and a huge range of others. Magnific Rock can organise your charter with all equipment included.
Magnific Rock is 20 minutes by car from the Hacienda Iguana Golf & Beach – home to one of the most scenic golfing locations in Nicaragua. Interested in a challenging 9-hole or 18-hole game? Let us know and we will have it organized no problem!
Allow our community to introduce to you Nicaraguan life in the village, with the very popular Cultural Tour. Visit a farm, milk a cow, cook a tortilla, try some cheese, and even do some pottery! Designed and run by locals, this is wonderful experience you do not want to miss.
Witness nature in all its action in a harmonious setting as you watch sea turtles lay their eggs under the full moon at the Chacocente Turtle Reserve. These eggs are protected so that the sea turtles, now endangered, can repopulate.
Want to capture yourself on some special waves, or perfect a yoga pose out on Magnific Rock, and share those magic moments with friends back home? We can organize your own personal photographer to follow you for the day to capture those special moments.
Help us clean the beaches, and meet fellow travelers and local from the area, at one of the Rubbish Club’s beach clean-ups. Magnific Rock will provide the gloves and bags – you need only to turn up to help! Meet-ups are scheduled periodically, so contact Magnific Rock for details. This is your chance to give back to the Popoyo paradise during your stay.
We’re famous for an amazing view from the restaurant, so don’t forget to book in at least one sunset viewing. From 3pm-6pm, we have some great happy hour specials, so make the most of the sunset with a superb cocktail in hand.
Looking for a party? Most Saturday nights we have a great party in the Magnific Rock Bottom Bar. Ask our friendly staff if it’s on this Saturday!
